Who We Are
Our Year As We See It

The youth Ministry at La Plata United Methodist Church is for all youth in grades 6 - 12 who want to explore their fait, grow closer to God and be in Christian fellowship.  All youth are welcome!

Our Youth Ministry seeks to be a comfortable and safe place for youth to connect to God through faith in Jesus Christ.  We offer love, forgiveness, nurturing and encouragement to both leaders and youth.  We strive to be people whose purpose is to move ourselves and others along in our spiritual journeys and faith development.

Our mission statement indicates our focus:
"In response to god's call, the youth (and leaders) at La Plata UMC strive to build relationships with each other, with our God, with our church and with our community through sharing our faith."

Hebrews 10: 25

Let's see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do, but spurring each other on.
