“Worshiping and growing in fellowship & knowledge of Christ. Maturing from membership to discipleship: for us, others, and for Jesus’ sake.”

Ever Wonder...

Be sure to check out our newest feature: "Ever Wonder..."  It is a place where common questions about our faith and the workings of the church are explained in video and text.  Videos are courtesy of "Chuck Knows Church".  Check them out on our Guests & Newcomer's Page.

Christmas Cantata

The Chancel Choir, under the direction of our Pat Day, have been rehearsing and preparing a brand new Christmas Cantata to be presented to the congregation on Sunday, December 17, at the 11:00 AM Traditional Worship Service. The cantata, “Night of Wonder, Night of Joy,” please invite your friends and neighbors to join you in worship for this unique expression of Christmas, through music.

Christmas Caroling

Please join the Fellowship Ministry team for our annual Christmas Caroling on Sunday, Dec 16. We will gather in Fellowship Hall 1 for a delicious soup and sandwich luncheon provided by committee members immediately following the 11:00 AM service. After eating, we will board a school bus to visit church members who have not been able to attend services. We will return NLT 4:30 PM. Families are welcome and lyrics are provided to all of your favorite carols. Contact Cheryl Smith @ 301-752-1386 or the Church office for any questions

This is always a fun event; all youth are invited!!3

Calm and Bright

This year is the 200th anniversary of the classic "Silent Night".  This season will be filled with holy moments, and I wish you joy as we go ever nearer to the stable of the Christ Child.  Join us as Pastor Boehl shares the spirit of this Christmas classic.

Christmas Adopted Families

During the Christmas season, we adopt designated families, from our partner school, Matula Elementary. The families have been selected by the school. This year we have 4 families with 9 children total, ranging from 3 to 13 years of age. Six are girls and three are boys. For the next three Sundays, the Christmas tree in the narthex of the sanctuary will have tags hanging on the tree describing specific items that the families can use. Please pray about taking an item and blessing these families. Bring all unwrapped items back to church no later than December 14th. A special box will be available for your gifts in the lobby and also in Fellowship Hall 2. Thank you in advance for your generosity; our church congregation is truly a blessing to our community.

Safe Nights Returns

Lifestyles' Safe Nights is a cold weather shelter program in its' 14th year in Charles County, and LPUMC has been a part of this program from inception, and will host the weeks of Dec 23 - 30 and Feb 17-24. Please mark your calendars and let Kim Williams ([email protected]) know if you would like to be included on the volunteer e-mail list. We will need meal prep, especially for early morning breakfasts, overnight hosts, daily laundry services, special activities-plenty of opportunities to share your time and talents for the benefit of others.
